Increases energy, helps in sports, improves sexuality, protects the heart and lungs
It is useful in these diseases:
- flu, herpes, vaginal candida, papilloma virus, HIV, hepatitis C
- allergies, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis
- gastroesophageal reflux, intestinal diverticulum, elevated transaminases
- sport, intense rhythms of life, convalescence
- anxiety, depression, multiple sclerosis
- heart disease, extrasystoles, tachycardia, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation
- menstrual irregularities, decreased libido and fertility, menopause
- decline in virility, erectile dysfunction
Strengths:It is a mushroom with multiple utility. In fact, it strengthens the body with all four powers. It increases immunity, protects the digestive system, in particular from diverticulum and gastroesophageal regurgitation, improves sugar metabolism, promotes liver health and its purification.
One of its strengths is its ability to increase physical and mental energy: for this feature is highly appreciated by athletes, but also by people squeezed by intense rhythms of life. It enhances the sexuality of both man and woman. Modern research has confirmed the millennial reputation that traditional Chinese medicine has given to Cordyceps in restoring and strengthening sexual function. In addition, it is an excellent cardiotonic useful in the prevention and treatment of heart disease. Without forgetting that it decreases anxiety, depression and improves sleep. Finally, it provides valuable support in anemia and respiratory failure and strengthens the kidneys.
Athletes have set many world records, using Cordyceps because it increases performance in sport.
Originally from Tibet, for centuries it has been much loved and used in traditional Chinese medicine, for various diseases: respiratory diseases, kidney diseases, liver disorders, cardiovascular problems, low sexual vitality. Scholars have discovered that it allows to live even at very high altitudes, up to 4-5 thousand meters, because it increases by 10% the oxygenation of organs and tissues. The living demonstrations of the exceptional performance in a low oxygen environment given by Cordyceps are the people of Tibet, but even more so the Sherpas, the mountain carriers, traditionally used to carry weights of up to 40-50 kilos on their shoulders along the steep paths of the Himalayas.
The active ingredients contained
- beta-glutans, which exert a great stimulus on immunity;
- cordicepine (deoxyadenosine), a molecule similar to adenosine, which exerts numerous beneficial effects: it is a powerful antibiotic and antiviral, useful in HIV and viral hepatitis. It increases blood oxygenation and is an excellent prevention of hypoxia of the heart and also of all other organs (brain, kidney and others).
- Adenosine, excellent for the vasodilator effect, promotes blood circulation throughout the body. To benefit from the increased blood flow is mainly the heart, which thus has more strength and health, but also the brain, kidneys and retina, organs of vital importance. Without forgetting that it reduces anxiety and is a very effective anti-inflammatory;
- the cytochrome P-450, the main set of liver enzymes with which this organ transforms everything that comes along;
- antioxidant enzymes, in particular Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), the main body enzyme with anti-free radical function;
- the polysaccharides CS-F30 and CS-F10, which lower blood sugar levels;
- terpenes, the essential oils that give it a pleasant aroma and which are distinguished by their remarkable anti-inflammatory and antibiotic potential;
- cordicepic acid (D-mannitol), a urinary germicide.
1st group: diseases of the Immune System
Pathogenic germs diseases
It is an anti-inflammatory useful against inflammatory and painful diseases. children and the elderly, who take it, spend entire winters without ever contracting flu, pharyngitis or bronchitis.
Eliminates IgE anti-pollen, dust or other substances, responsible for allergic diseases, from which the allergic reaction originates. It is also valuable in allergies and asthma. Increases oxygenation reduces asthmatic crises. It is also a valuable aid in all subjects with poor respiratory efficiency, for example those who suffer from pulmonary emphysema.
2nd group: diseases related to digestion, weight and metabolism
Gastritis, colitis and intestinal diverticulitis
Cordyceps is useful in fighting irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, colitis and gastritis, because thanks to adenosine and cordicepine, which soothes and strengthens psychological functions and dissolves somatizations due to anxiety and stress that cause these diseases in the stomach and intestines.
Then, it is able to restore tone and strength to the muscular wall of the intestine, contrasting the diverticulum, and to the stomach wall, contrasting iatal hernia and gastroesophageal reflux.
This fungus is great for preventing and treating diabetes. First of all, thanks to the presence of cordicepic acid and polysaccharides, it is excellent to regulate high blood glucose. In addition, thanks to adenosine, it protects the heart and vessels from complications over the years (Kiho T, 1996).
3rd group: diseases related to liver, skin, kidney and anti-free radical defenses
In cirrhosis it first stops the formation of fibrosis and then reduces it because it reabsorbs some parts.
Cordyceps is a friend of kidney health. In fact, thanks to adenosine, it facilitates the flow of blood and nutrition to these organs and protects capillaries and vessels. In addition, it protects and regenerates the cells of the renal tubule, the true biochemical laboratory that separates and recovers what is needed from what must be eliminated such as urine. Finally, it promotes the removal of toxins that would otherwise remain in the blood, ruining the walls of the vessels and the organs reached by it, especially the liver, heart and brain.
In a clinical study of 69 patients undergoing kidney transplantation, Cordyceps, at a dosage of three grams per day, has been shown to protect the kidney from side effects caused by the administration of cyclosporin, to improve immune function and to restore the altered values to normal, all without interfering with the organ's anti-rejection immunosuppressants (Xu et al 1995).
Finally, Cordyceps has a cosmetic function: it eliminates free radicals and enzymes that attack collagen, the protein that gives elasticity and support to the skin. In addition, it blocks most of the inflammatory processes of the skin, providing a useful contribution in all skin diseases on an inflammatory basis, such as acne, dermatitis and eczema.
4th group: energy diseases (muscle, mind, heart, sexual system, bones and joints)
More energy: sports, intense rhythms and convalescence
This fungus increases blood oxygenation by 4.8% and labor force by 8.3% (Yi X, 2004). In sports performance it has given astonishing results. Chinese athletes who, thanks to Cordyceps, have achieved numerous world records have amazed the world.
This fungus also activates mental energy, which helps to manage the anxieties that appear before and during the race. In addition, it eliminates that large mass of ROS free radicals, which are produced in large quantities in sport and which, if not removed, cause physical damage, injury and illness. It is not doping and is accepted by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) and all world sports federations.
For all these reasons, the fungus is also useful during a convalescence, as a restorative cure, to recover quickly. But it is also valuable for those who need energy at work or in everyday life. It allows you to lead intense, fully active days and to arrive in the evening with residual energy, to enjoy a full evening, until bedtime. When it is time to go to sleep, it makes the sleep deeper and more restful.
Cordyceps is very useful in the presence of mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety: it increases mental and physical energy, raises the mood tone and, thanks to adenosine, eliminates anxiety, insomnia and psychosomatic symptoms.
In China Cordyceps is an officially recognized treatment for cardiac arrhythmias (Yan XF, 2013) because it regularizes the heartbeat. It is an excellent cardiotonic, with which you can get interesting benefits in heart disease: extrasystoles, tachycardia, arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation. Interesting human studies show that it is very useful for the prevention and treatment of heart attacks (Chen, 1995). The results obtained by scientists have shown improvements in ECG, increased energy, vitality and well-being in general. It is also able to ward off cerebral ischemia and stroke (Liu Z, 2010; Huang L, 2009).
Adenosine makes this fungus an ally for heart health. In fact, it increases vasodilation and, therefore, blood flow to this and other organs. Thus the heart muscle is not only oxygenated better, but also has to work less to ensure circulation. The result? It becomes stronger and more toned, as the electrocardiogram (ECG) also shows. In addition, adenosine also eliminates much of the oxidative stress, which is responsible for heart damage during the heart attack. Finally, with the vasodilator action and antioxidant action, protects the circulation of the brain, kidneys and eyes.
Respiratory diseases: emphysema
In emphysema the fungus increases the amount of oxygen absorbed by the lung, compensates for the loss of a part of the lung surface.
Blood diseases: anemia
Cordyceps is a great ally in anemia, because thanks to the increased oxygenation of the blood, it compensates for the lack of hemoglobin (Hb), the red blood cell protein responsible for oxygen transport.
Menstrual irregularities, fertility and female libido
Cordyceps promotes the functions of the female reproductive system, stimulating the production of both estrogen and progesterone, in tune with the different phases of the menstrual cycle.
Cordyceps also stimulates the ovaries, in a similar way to the pituitary gland (Huang BM, 2004; Pan BS, 2011), thanks to a substance unique in nature, called cordicepine.
During fertile life, it improves libido, fertility and is useful in menstrual irregularities. In menopause, on the other hand, it eliminates flushing and reduces the risk of osteoporosis. It guarantees effects similar to those of hormone replacement therapy, but without side effects.
Drop in virility, erectile dysfunction, male impotence and sterility
Also in the man improves the sex life. Testosterone levels increase if the important hormone regulating desire, erection and sexual satisfaction is deficient (Zhu JS, 1998). In addition, it counteracts sterility, promoting an increase in the number and mobility of spermatozoa.
A study conducted on 189 patients showed an improvement in sexuality, both in erection and impotence (Wan 1988).
Other studies have shown increased sexual desire and significant improvements in impotence in 36% of cases.
